Privacy Policy

An account is required.The Service cannot be used anonymously — you must sign in before submitting text, so that your work can be saved to your account and your plan's limits applied.

Account data. If you create an account, we store your email address and a hashed password (or OAuth provider token). We do not store payment card details — these are handled entirely by Polar, our payment provider.

Usage metadata. We log request metadata (timestamp, word count, mode, job status) to enforce limits and improve the service. We do not log the content of your text in a way that is linked to your identity unless you have an account and retention is enabled.

Text you submit, and the result we return, are stored in your account so that your conversation history works — letting you revisit and continue past work.

You are in control of that data. You can delete any conversation at any time, and deleting your account removes your stored text along with it.

For document uploads, enabling “Do not retain my text” in account settings deletes the submitted text from our servers immediately after your result is delivered.

We never use your text to train AI models. Your content is not shared with third parties except as required to process your request (e.g. sending text to the LLM provider under a data-processing agreement).

We use browser localStorage (not cookies) to store your glossary terms, editor preferences, and privacy settings. No third-party tracking cookies are set. Analytics, if enabled, use a privacy-respecting, cookie-free method.

• LLM provider — your text is sent to our LLM provider to generate refined outputs. The provider is bound by a data-processing agreement and may not use your data for training.
• Polar — processes subscription payments. We receive a payment ID and subscription status; we do not receive card details.

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email support@sewkal.me.

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active and for 90 days after deletion. Usage logs are retained for 12 months for abuse prevention and billing reconciliation.

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data, contact us to have it deleted.

Material changes will be communicated by updating the “Last updated” date. For significant changes affecting how we use your data, we will notify registered users by email.
