Privacy Policy

Anonymous sessions.When you use the Service without an account, a UUID token is generated and stored in your browser's localStorage. This token is sent with each request to track your daily usage against the free-tier limit. It is not linked to your identity.

Account data. If you create an account, we store your email address and a hashed password (or OAuth provider token). We do not store payment card details — these are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy.

Usage metadata. We log request metadata (timestamp, word count, mode, job status) to enforce limits and improve the service. We do not log the content of your text in a way that is linked to your identity unless you have an account and retention is enabled.

Text submitted to the sync refiner (up to 500 words) is processed in memory and is never written to persistent storage.

Text submitted as async jobs (document uploads) is temporarily stored to generate your result. If you enable “Do not retain my text” in account settings, this text is deleted from our servers immediately after your result is delivered.

We never use your text to train AI models. Your content is not shared with third parties except as required to process your request (e.g. sending text to the LLM provider under a data-processing agreement).

We use browser localStorage (not cookies) to store your anonymous session token, glossary terms, and privacy preferences. No third-party tracking cookies are set. Analytics, if enabled, use a privacy-respecting, cookie-free method.

• LLM provider — your text is sent to our LLM provider to generate refined outputs. The provider is bound by a data-processing agreement and may not use your data for training.
• Lemon Squeezy — processes subscription payments. We receive a payment ID and subscription status; we do not receive card details.

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email support@sewkal.com. Anonymous session data cannot be attributed to an individual and is therefore not subject to access or deletion requests.

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active and for 90 days after deletion. Usage logs are retained for 12 months for abuse prevention and billing reconciliation. Anonymous session tokens expire after 90 days of inactivity.

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data, contact us to have it deleted.

Material changes will be communicated by updating the “Last updated” date. For significant changes affecting how we use your data, we will notify registered users by email.
