Shorten Text — Concise Without Cutting Content
Shorten mode condenses verbose text by eliminating redundancy, filler phrases, and over-qualified statements while preserving all substantive claims. Each sentence is scored for semantic similarity to the original so no information is lost in the compression.

What shorten mode removes
Shorten mode targets hedge stacks ('it could perhaps be argued that'), redundant qualifiers, restated points, and padding phrases. The diff view shows exactly what was removed from each sentence.
Combining shorten and formal mode
Run shorten mode first to eliminate filler, then formal mode on the result for professional register. Or use them together by selecting shorten — the mode targets both compression and clarity in a single pass.
